How are your drivers vetted?
All drivers undergo a comprehensive background check, hold a valid Texas Driver’s License (DL) and complete mandatory training on safety protocols and child transportation. Regular drug and alcohol testing is also conducted.

Will I know who is driving my child?
Yes, parents will be informed in advance about the driver assigned to transport their child. We aim to provide consistency by keeping the same driver on the route daily.

Are your vehicles marked with a company logo?
Yes, all our vehicles are clearly marked with the Cypress Children’s Transport logo for easy identification and additional safety.

How many children will be in one vehicle?
The number of children in one vehicle depends on the vehicle’s capacity and the specific route. We ensure that all vehicles operate within safe and comfortable seating limits.

What is your policy on payments?
We offer both monthly (auto-drafted on the 1st of every month) and weekly payment options (due on Friday for the prior week). Payments are expected on the scheduled due date to ensure continuous service.

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept debit, credit, and ACH payments. For debit and credit card transactions, a fee of 2.7% +30 cents will be added to the total amount. ACH payments incur a flat fee of $1.00. All debit and credit card payments will include this processing fee.”

What are the registration periods?
Parents can choose to sign up for transportation services for the 1st Quarter, 2nd Quarter, or the full school year.

What happens are my registration period?
Two weeks before your contract expires, you will receive an email notification. This email will inform you that your contract is nearing its end and will ask whether you would like to renew or cancel your service. At that point, you can choose to renew your contract or cancel it.

What if I need to cancel before my contract expires?
We understand life happens we ask for a 30 day notice and $150 early termination fee.

What happens if my child misses the bus?
Riders must arrive 5 minutes before departure times. If your child is not at the stop on time, the bus will leave. It is essential to be punctual to avoid missing the bus.

How do we know when our children have arrived to school or dropped off at home?
You will be able to use our GPS Tracking software once registered to track you child’s location. Check out Zonar for more insight on this program.

What items are allowed on the bus?
No food, candy, or chewing gum is allowed on the bus. Water is permitted. Students must keep their hands and feet to themselves and treat everyone aboard with respect.

What are the fees and late charges?
Late payments incur a $35 fee. Insufficient funds or bounced checks will also incur a $35 fee plus any associated bank fees. All fees and payments are non-refundable.

Do you offer discounts for school breaks and holidays?
Yes, payments for weeks of school breaks and holidays, including Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break, are discounted by 50%.

What is your policy on inclement weather?
In the event of inclement weather, Cypress Children’s Transport will decide whether to suspend services, regardless of school decisions. Parents are responsible for their child’s transportation on these days if services are suspended.

How do you handle severe illness?
In the event of severe illness (vomiting, diarrhea, contagious diseases, etc.), Cypress Children’s Transport will not transport the child. Parents must pick up their child to prevent the spread of illness.

What happens in case of a mechanical breakdown?
In case of mechanical breakdowns or safety issues, routes may be combined to ensure all students get to/from school safely and promptly. We will never leave any students behind in such circumstances.

Can parents ride the bus?
No, only Cypress Children’s Transport staff and students are allowed on our buses. Parents are not permitted on the buses at any time for the safety of the students.

What are the procedures for rule violations?
Violations of rules will result in a letter home that must be signed and returned the following school day. Failure to return the signed letter will result in a phone call home or possible suspension. Repeated offenses will lead to longer suspensions or indefinite suspension.
